Ed Cohen


Ed Cohen is a relationship-centered strategic consultant, facilitator, and coach. His career in learning & leadership development has spanned more than 36 years and crossed over 60 countries. Currently, he serves as the Executive Vice President at Nelson Cohen Global Consulting, where he guides individuals and teams to discover and achieve their passion and purpose through mindfulness, authentic leadership, executive coaching, and team/organization development.

Throughout his career, he has successfully trained and coached hundreds of thousands, as well as led two organizations to the coveted number one spot on the ATD BEST Awards annual list. Under his leadership, Booz Allen Hamilton and Satyam Computer Services (now Tech Mahindra) were both recognized as the top learning and development company in the world.

During a 7-year stint living and working in India leading talent development for Satyam Computer Services and numerous other organizations, Ed was introduced to mindfulness and authentic leadership. During that time, he studied with several Gurus on his own personal journey. He translated these teachings to help others discover their passion and purpose and grow into their absolute best selves.

In 2009, he brought together all of the pieces of his journey and co-founded Nelson Cohen Global Consulting. Working with leaders, teams and organizations including Amazon, Farmers Insurance, HCL Technologies, and Yahoo, he builds upon existing strengths helping to identify and build powerful behaviors that are observable, learnable, and teachable.

In 2016, Nelson Cohen received ATD’s Excellence in Practice Award for Leadership Development in partnership with Western Union. From 2009 to 2012 they helped Farmers Insurance Group to achieve the number one rank on the Training Top 125. Since 2013, they have also assisted Western Union, Novo Nordisk, Aon Corporation with their metrics strategies and annual award submissions resulting in each achieving top 20 rankings.
